TFI FRIDAY CHRISTMAS 2000

In the last ever TFI Friday show presented by Sir Elton John on 22nd December 2000, the Pet Shop Boys performed 'It Doesn't Often Snow At Christmas' live for the first time ever.
Chris was looking a bit like someone out of Wizard with a huge grey beard and dressed up in a Santa outfit and Neil was all dressed up in a Dinner Jacket and bow-tie, there was also a schoolboy choir dressed up in all red (see the images below).
I have to say I was a little disappointed, not up to there usual fantastic performance. Other than that it was nice to see them on the TV again. At the end of the performance Neil simply said "Merry Christmas".

The lyrics to 'It Doesn't Often Snow At Christmas' are:

Christmas is not all it's cracked up to be
Families fighting around a plastic tree
Nothing on the TV that you want to see
And it's hardly ever snowing
The way it's meant to be
Like in White Christmas year after year
Bing Crosby, Bing Crosby
Are you listening to me?

It doesn't often snow at Christmas
The way it's meant to do
But I'll still have a glow at Christmas
Because I'll be with you

The Christmas message was long ago lost
Now it's all about shopping and how much things cost
It's meant to be good will as well as synthetic fun
And what is this year's festive number one?

It doesn't often snow at Christmas
The way it's meant to do
But I'll still have a glow at Christmas
Because I'll be with you
It doesn't often snow at Christmas
The way it's meant to do
But I'll still have a glow at Christmas
Because I'll be with you

Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year
